SALF branch sites offers one-half to two-hour classes promoting and training the "Pre-EMS" role of the “Bystander” prior to EMS arrival. More importantly SALF programs teach valuable life supporting skills as early as kindergarten, creating a community of emergency prepared citizens. Who needs to be involved?The support of local emergency medical service providers, governments, businesses and schools help effectively run the SALF program. SALF programs are typically organized around emergency medical service departments, but can be based wherever emergency professionals are located, such as police and fire departments.
