Perry Medic® Honors Flight for Life Air CrewSALF, October 29, 2004
The Flight for Life Air Crew, Dudley, West Midlands (UK) was recently presented with the Save A Life Foundation's "Perry Medic® Award," revealing the ever-strengthening partnership between the Air Crew and SALF. Flight for Life, which is a small part of the overall RAMP program (Repatriation of Allied Military Personnel), aides in transporting British, American and allied soldiers, who are across enemy lines, back into the UK and into either a military or a civilian hospital. On a daily basis, they transport local residents in emergency rescue operations, automobile accidents and those who have suffered heart attacks, as well as persons who have experienced other life-threatening occurrences. "I can't say enough about these gallant professionals who work side by side with our American solders in the trenches of Iraq's battlefield, airlifting the wounded, while saving lives of British citizens from assorted emergencies at home, ranging from car accidents, heart attacks, floods, etc. They are truly heroes in my mind, and exemplary illustrations of EMS internationally." - Carol Spizzirri, SALF President/Founder Award presented to Flight For Life Air Crew's Contingency Planning Division, under Dave Jones, Manager. |
