House Charities for sponsoring the training of the children in more than fifty
Chicago Public Schools in life saving skills at a press conference held at Hamilton
Elementary School, Chicago. "Children's safety is our number one concern and
we have witnessed SALF's training resulting in numerous lives being saved by
the children SALF's has trained," stated Duncan. "Carol and the SALF Instructors
has been a long time friend of CPS....

1990's SALF President/Founder, Carol Spizzirri, now a member of the U.S. Department
of Homeland Security/Citizen Corp, has been active in altering the way bystanders
view and approach an emergency scene. Because Carol Spizzirri has witness, personally,
that bystanders are unprepared to assist in times of urgencies...

is to train and develop"Bystanders", including children, as
volunteers equipped with Life Supporting First Aid Skills (LSFA) to aid in
an emergency. Founded in 1993, SALF has
equipped nearly one million children with CPR and first aid skills. The organization
provides training to public schools for free with help from state/federal
