SALF is a national non-for-profit organization based outside of Chicago, Illinois. The organization's mission is to train and develop"Bystanders", including children, as volunteers equipped with Life Supporting First Aid Skills (LSFA) to aid in an emergency. Founded in 1993, SALF has equipped nearly one million children with CPR and first aid skills. The organization provides training to public schools for free with help from state/federal funding and donors.
