SALF official trademark mascots "Perry Medic" and "EMy Tech" will take on the role of the national mascots for Emergency Medical Service (EMS), to help promote EMS, it's mission, it's programs and the professionals who have made EMS their life saving work. Just as McGruff "Takes a Bite Out Of Crime", and Smokey Bear let's you know that "Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires" …"Perry Medic" and "EMy" will be telling children all across America that they can help "Save A Life!" by learning Basic Life Supporting First Aid skills, like CPR and the Heimlich maneuver in an upcoming national initiative. Through a mutual agreement between SALF and Stoffel Seal of New York, replicas of SALF's "Perry Medic" and "EMy Tech" will be manufactured, marketed and distributed through their international catalogs to virtually every Fire, Police Department, hospital and Ambulance Company international to help spread the message of EMS to children of all ages. "Perry Medic" and "EMy Tech" join Stoffel's other mascots: Sparky the Fire Dog (National Fire Protection Association), Smokey The Bear (National Park Service) and McGruff (National Crime Prevention Council through the U.S. Department of Justice).
