I am writing to extend my heartfelt congratulations! You have been selected by your Mayor/Village President to receive an Illinois Women of Achievement Award.

For those of you unfamiliar with the program, I established the Illinois Women of Achievement Awards in 1999, in an effort to recognize women throughout the state who make considerable contributions to their communities. Moreover, as March represents Women's History Month, the Illinois Women on Achievement Awards affords me the chance to single out exceptional Illinois women to coordinate with this national celebration.
