SALF adds Toby Burke to Team

Save A Life Foundation (SALF) proudly Save A Life Foundation (SALF) proudly welcomes John G. "Toby" Burke as its Managing Director of Government Affairs for its new Washington, DC office.

Mr. Burke received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Richmond in Virginia and his Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University
Pettit College of Law. Before joining SALF, Mr. Burke was a Special Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs at the White House where he served as the President's liaison between Mayors, State Attorney Generals, County Commissioners, District Attorneys, law enforcement, and the U.S. Territories. In this capacity, he also managed interagency meetings and other activities, such as federal task forces, and in partnership with the Office of Cabinet Liaison, engaged and coordinated outreach to regional Federal offices across the nation.

Prior to joining the White House in 2002, Mr. Burke had served in several capacities in Washington, DC including working on Capitol Hill and representing and advising several governors, the Republican Mayors and Local Officials organization and other entities. Areas of involvement have included economic development, public safety, trade, energy, transportation, infrastructure, agriculture and other issues.

As SALF's Managing Director of Government Affairs, Mr. Burke will represent SALF before government leaders and establish a Washington office. Mr. Burke will engage government officials on issues related to emergency preparedness and public safety for America's citizens, the importance of community participation to strengthening our safeguards and strengthen public awareness for the vital role of the men and women who respond to a crisis and provide emergency services.

and life saving message to government officials, communities and schools across the nation," Mr. Burke said.
