SALF adds Toby Burke to TeamJuly 02 , 2007
Mr. Burke received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Richmond in Virginia and his Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University Prior to joining the White House in 2002, Mr. Burke had served in several capacities in Washington, DC including working on Capitol Hill and representing and advising several governors, the Republican Mayors and Local Officials organization and other entities. Areas of involvement have included economic development, public safety, trade, energy, transportation, infrastructure, agriculture and other issues. As SALF's Managing Director of Government Affairs, Mr. Burke will represent SALF before government leaders and establish a Washington office. Mr. Burke will engage government officials on issues related to emergency preparedness and public safety for America's citizens, the importance of community participation to strengthening our safeguards and strengthen public awareness for the vital role of the men and women who respond to a crisis and provide emergency services.
